Qassia have given and are providing informations updating the status of members and their intels, do and do not's while posting intels and subsequent screening of intels. The details as provided at Qassia are listed hereunder:
One at a Time
We've noticed that quite a few users are rapidly firing off intel, mostly by copying and pasting numerous old blog posts of theirs within the space of a few minutes.
We would prefer to see original intel being added, since a blog post doesn't always make good intel. So in future, we may limit the number of intel you can add in any given time frame.
However, for now, the project is still small and young, and we don't want to do anything to discourage the submission of intel, irrespective of source.
So what we've done is, we've limited the number of intel you can have in the screening queue, to just one. This means that if one of your previous intel has not yet made it through the screening process, your later intel won't be available for screening - until, of course, the previous intel has been screened.
Disallowed Intel
Thank you to all the beta testers who have been screening intel. We are extremely pleased to report that the screening process works very well, in fact, far better than expected. We put this down to the fact that our users are all intelligent and responsible people, and we consider ourselves extremely lucky.
We have received some suggestions to remove certain types of intel. However, since the screening process works well, there is no need for Qassia staff to censor intel.
Except, that is, one kind. Please refrain from adding intel about Qassia. We would like to emphasize that we do not mind criticism, and users are of course free to say what they like on their websites and blogs about us, so it is not that we are muzzling our users. In any case, the intel about Qassia we've come across has generally been positive.
The problem is that intel ABOUT Qassia ON Qassia is somewhat like holding a mirror up to a mirror; it is confusing. Intel about Qassia may give other users the wrong impression that the author of the intel is representing or officially associated with Qassia.
For the reasons stated above, we will henceforth remove all intel about Qassia. Thank you for your understanding.
Note that you may, of course, add intel about other sites such as Squidpoo or Flubpages.
Screening Remarks, Now Available
When screening intel, you can now give the author of the intel feedback about why you graded it the way you did.
This is in response to a suggestion from a user.
I'd like to suggest you implement a way for us to give feedback on our reasons for the grade we give 'intel'.
There are times I'd like to give a higher grade, but spelling errors or poor grammar dictate I grade lower...
So we did just that. Thanks to Heather for the suggestion.
Note that remarks should not be confused with comments. Remarks are optional and should only be entered by the screener if the screener has a definite suggestion on how to improve the intel.
Also please remember that the screening process is anonymous, so please don't enter your names in the remarks box.
To see remarks, if any, go to your "My Intel" page. If the grade of your intel is underlined and clickable, you can see the remarks by clicking on it.
